Descriptions:
1.
The Great Hall - $7,500,000
The
Great Hall will be an expansive and imposing
space which will serve as the nerve center
for the entire Monument. Entrance to all exhibitions
and activities at the Monument will be gained
by way of the Great Hall, which will be entered
from the Stadion, or Plaza.
The
Great Hall looks out over an outdoor Amphitheater
with seating for 3,000 and the two major historical
elements of the Monument, the Stadion and the
Incurvature. The Stadion replicates the dimensions
of the original stadium in Ancient Olympia.
The
Incurvature, formed by the weight of an imaginary
earth as it rests upon the Stadion, will be the
defining feature of the Monument. Within the
Incurvature, the names of 27,000 Olympic victors
from both the Ancient Olympics and the Modern
Games will be inscribed, dating back to 776 B.C.
The
Great Hall will house other facilities included
in our Naming Opportunities Campaign, including
an Auditorium/Theatre with seating for one thousand,
a Business & Media Center, a Discovery Center
for Children, and the full spectrum of state-of-the-art
Conference Rooms.
Also
housed in the Great Hall will be a Lobby and
Exhibition Area, a Concierge Station, a separate
Private Reception Area, Management Offices, and
individual Centers for Publications, Plant Operations,
Security, and Triage.
Unique
to the Monument will be rooms dedicated to the
long-neglected fraternity of Coaches & Trainers
and to those athletes whose nations, for political
reasons, ultimately chose to prohibit their participation.
Truly,
the Great Hall will be a magnificent structure.
Equally magnificent, your name might easily adorn
the facade, placing you forever “In Touch with
Eternity.”

2. Museum
of Olympian Truce - $5,000,000
The Museum
of Olympian Truce shall be an entirely unique
and extraordinary facility dedicated to the promotion
and perpetuation of the sacred and venerable
concept of ancient Olympic Truce.
Under the
protection of this hallowed accord, athletes
and spectators alike traveled to and from the
Ancient Olympics free of the fear of conflicts
often raging around them.
In modern
times, as our world continues to struggle with
bitter cultural divisions and widespread political
enmity, the restoration of the sanctity once
accorded to Olympic Truce appears more necessary
than ever.
The
Museum is intended to assume the mantle of this
restoration, spearheading a worldwide educational
effort to embrace the laying down of arms between
warring factions during the Games themselves,
as well as advancing the movement toward an altogether
global cessation of hostilities beyond the Games.
Governed
by an internationally acclaimed Council of Scholars
and managed by an equally renowned Curatorial
Council, the Museum shall seek to assemble in
one space the single largest collection of truce-related
materials on the face of the earth.
Additionally,
the Museum will seek to provide the worldwide
community of nations a truly independent forum
for the discussion, analysis, and study of
emerging initiatives for truce.
The
Museum shall also provide virtual access to
all collections, whereby source materials will
be available in real-time to advocates for
peace and students of truce from anywhere across
the planet.
The
