Dear Makis,
Thank you for giving me
an update on a most interesting proposal "Monument of
the Immortals". This is indeed a very worthwhile endeavor
and so appropriate. The combination
of providing a location of all Olympians names in Olympia,
where the Olympic games began is the only place this
should be. It brings together the history of the ancients
to the present day.
In the early years athletes came from all over the then
known world to Olympia to compete in the Olympic Games.
Today the whole world participates, and it is fitting
that the Olympians be honored and remembered at the location
of our historic past.
The Greek Heritage society would like to add its name
to the growing list Of supporters. Please feel free to
call on us to assist you in any way we can.
Sincerely,
Zoye Marino Fidler
President, Greek Heritage Society
Of Southern California
